Yosuke Hosoi is an Emmy Awards nominated film director based in Berlin, Germany. 
   In 2005, Yosuke moved from Japan to Los Angeles, determined to make his mark in the United States. He studied filmmaking at Santa Monica College and acting under Rick Podell at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
    In 2012, he earned BFA in Filmmaking at The City College of New York. His talent has been recognised and awarded a number of accolades, which include runner-up in New York Asian American Film Festival for his film “Club Fizz”, and his thesis film “Man of the House” was accepted into festivals on all continents including Cannes Film Festival in France, Cineramabc International Film Festival in Brazil, Aoyama Film Festival in Japan, and more.
    His cinematic aesthetic also leaded him to the fashion industry. He shot a fashion films for Vogue Italy with the renowned director, Luca Finotti, and it was premiered at Milano Fashion Week. 
    After Yosuke had worked in the U.S. for 8 years, he moved back to Japan. He has traveled more than 50 countries and directed travel programs and documentaries for NHK World, Tokyo MX TV, and WOWOW.                                                      
    He has been directing the documentary series “WHO I AM,” which is IPC (International Paralympic Committee) and WOWOW’s Collaboration Project. For 5 years until 2020, he is directing documentaries about Top Para Athletes worldwide, and his film was nominated for International Emmy Awards in 2018, and won the official selection at Agency for Cultural Affairs, Japanese Ministry of Education 2017 for his work. 
As an actor, he appeared in the film Minamata, starred by Johny Depp, which was world premiered at Berlinale 2018. He also worked as an on set interpreter for the film John Wick 4, starred by Keanu Reeves.
Inspired by the extraordinary stories found in the ordinary and the simplicities of life, Yosuke continues to work on his upcoming feature film projects.

 高校卒業後、映画監督を志しアメリカ、ロサンゼルスへ渡る。サンタモニカ・カレッジで映画史、またビバリーヒルズ・プレイハウスで演劇を学んだ後、ニューヨーク市立大学にて映画専攻学士取得。在籍中に監督した作品『クラブ・フィズ』でニューヨーク・アジアンアメリカン映画祭での受賞、ニューヨーク連邦銀行主催コマーシャルコンペで受賞、また卒業制作の『五歳の大黒柱』は同大学の審査会にて最優秀美術賞を獲得し、2012年カンヌ国際映画祭SFC他、ニューヨーク・クイーンズ映画祭、ウルグアイ国際短編映画祭などで上映されている。
アメリカで8年の活動後、日本ではNHKワールドやTOKYO MXなどの旅番組を中心に演出し50ヵ国以上を訪れる。またVOGUEイタリア、Jeremy Scottなど、ファッション映像も撮影している。 
2017年よりドイツ・ベルリンを拠点にする。
国際パラリンピック委員会とWOWOWによるパラリンピック・ドキュメンタリー「WHO I AM 」演出作品で    2018年 国際エミー賞ノミネートや第71回文化庁メディア芸術祭に入選。
俳優としてはジョニーデップ主演映画「Minamata」に出演し、ベルリン国際映画祭に招待された。                      また通訳として、キアヌリーブス主演映画「John Wick 4」に参加。
